It’s an outdoor hiking tour through the rain forest with the help of a naturalistic guide to look for the sloths in the wild. We’ll be finding an average of four to six sloths in the area.
We have about 2 miles trails with a rich biodiversity so we also be able to appreciate some birds, frogs, insects and other wildlife around.
This adventure takes almost two hours to be done but it’s a gentile hike in a flat land 30 acres property.
The trails are mostly under shade with some open areas so you only we’ll need some bug spray.
The Maleku Indigenous Reserve is located in the Northern Region of Costa Rica. The reserve is home to three different villages, known as Palenques Margarita, Tonjibe y El Sol, all within the 2993 hectares (7395 acres) territory. The population is 1000 indigenous, and 80% speak the native dialect called Maleku Jaica. The purpose of this tour is to allow you to learn about the way of life of these indigenous groups in the present day and what they have done to keep their customs and traditions alive.
This tour is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and educational opportunity for you to learn about Costa Rican wildlife while volunteering. It takes place at a Wildlife Rescue Center close to La Fortuna. It is the perfect activity for individuals, couples, families and groups. Volunteer and have fun as you see wild animals up-close.
We will start the tour with a delicious welcome drink prepared with the fresh fruits of the area. Our guide will highlight the main objectives of the farm, which include the promotion of the sustainable use of natural resources and preservation of Costa Rican customs and traditions.
After this warm welcome, we will get to try milking cows by hand. Anyone can participate in this experience, especially the little ones. Next, we will participate in the process of extracting cane juice and have the opportunity to taste the juice with combined with a variety of ingredients such as liquor, peppermint, and other products obtained from the farm.
We will visit a small archaeological ranch where we can observe different indigenous pieces and use them in the creation of artisanal cocoa.
At the end of the tour, we will share a lunch made with farm-fresh products such as cheese, tortillas, hash, and more. Undoubtedly, this is an experience full of culture, tradition, and Costa Rican customs.
This tour is an excellent opportunity to observe local wildlife in its natural environment in the Arenal area accompanied by a naturalist guide specializing in tropical flora and fauna. In this night walk you can see Frogs with eyes, as well as Sloths, Armadillos, Anteaters, Spectacled Owl , Black and white Owl and much more.
The guide will provide you with flashlights in addition to taking your optical equipment with you so that you can observe the fauna up close as well as having the chance to take photos with your own cell phone using the telescope to obtain unique pictures

We will go on our Rainforest Limo to the Arenal River to star our activity.
After 5 minutes walk through the forest we arrive to the Maleku Village at the botton of the Arenal River. Natives will perform a 10 minutes introduction to their culture, medice and traditions. After, we will take to tubs and hike 10 minutes till get to the river, where we will enjoy the tubing adventure and have a short briefing about security. After a short walk, we arrive at the foot of the river, where the tubing starts.
Then everyone gets his proper rafting “tube” to make the adrenaline in your body seek its way out, while you have to navigate through Arenal River crystal clear rapids. Afterwards we go to the changing rooms and get back to Go Adventure base to continue with your next adventure.

We drive for 20 minutes to the entrance of the Arenal Volcano.Then , you will hike up adventurous trails to the highest part allowed explore , right there you can see the lava fields from the last eruption of the Volcano in (1968 and 2010) .
